Welcome to the ACIM Archival site of The Foundation for Inner Peace and the Foundation for A Course in Miracles. We have chosen to launch our new ACIM-Archives website at this time to commemorate the 100th birthday of Dr. Helen Schucman, Scribe of A Course in Miracles, which occurred on July 14, 2009.
ACIM-Archives offers you original and authentic material from our historical collection most of which has never before been released. Here you will find first-hand documented selections from both Foundations' vast collection of preserved memorabilia of the early days of the Course. We will continue to expand the site to include a wide and varied collection of print, photo, audio and video materials about ACIM otherwise unavailable. We will also present material that will correct some of the errors in fact and perception about A Course in Miracles and its inception — including mistakes, myths and legends – that have been circulated widely throughout the Internet.
Evolution of the publication of
A Course in Miracles
The Course was first published by the Foundation for Inner Peace in 1975 as instructed by Dr. Helen Schucman and her co-scribe, Dr. William Thetford. The Foundation for A Course in Miracles became the teaching arm of the Course, also with approval and encouragement of its Scribes. In the intervening years these two organizations have faithfully followed Helen's directive of exactly how she wanted her manuscript of ACIM treated. As a universal, self-study spiritual thought system, the Course is a unique process for teaching forgiveness and how to remove barriers in the student's mind to the awareness of love's abiding presence. We hope you find our factual, historical Archival website interesting and informative.
